I agree with Redgator...I use a pair of rubber dipped gloves EXCLUSIVELY for fueling. I don't like the smell of diesel, and Its really rough on your skin..and Murphy's Law...if you get diesel on your hands your eye WILL itch, you WILL rub it, and diesel burns like the devil in your eyes. I do use leather gloves, but thats a flatbedder thing. I have used the rubber dipped gloves for bungees and straps, but they have a little TO MUCH grip, and tend to ynak your hands to places you really don't want them to be. So leather for loading, rubber for fuel, and rubber or leather for 5th wheel, landing gear, v boards, corner protectors, etc. These are just my personal choices, TSB is close to my preferences, but he uses leather for everything but fueling.

I'm definitely not a girlie girl... I don't mind getting my hands dirty but I hear you on using gloves while getting gas.

My rule is, whatever object a trucker places their hands make sure you don't touch it with your bare skin. I know Redgator would agree with me.

Luckily your a female so you don't have to go inside a men's bathroom. But 25% of the people don't wash their hands. Seriously.. So when I wash my hands I keep the paper towel and I open the door with the paper towel. Nothing you can do if there's only an air dryer though.

Same thing with showers. If you go into your shower but forgot your slippers then go back to your truck and get them. Must wear slippers. Gotta protect yourself.

You will need at least 2 pairs one for fueling and one for working (opening trailer doors, rolling landing gear and pulling your fifth wheel) I use the ones coated in polyurethane for fueling in summer and a heavier insulated pair in winter and a pair of suede gloves for working. And of coarse they are all pink:)

Maybe I'll get pink ones too.. just to mess with people..lol
