Long enough to know I wanted to leave soonest. Thankful that I wasn't caught up in a contract as my co-driver is. We are now on four days off after our delivery this afternoon. I put in my two week notice on March 1st.

I looked at CRST first cause I think they have the shortest contract after trucking school. If it hasn't changed.

Once I found out they are team trucking only, I had to cross that off my list. I don't wanna do that unless someone I already know would team with me.

My 2nd choice was Pam. With all the research I had done, I never read that there is 6 month team driving in the first year. The recruited told me that. I know some people prefer team driving. I would rather be solo.

On to Roehl...I start trucking school in ATL on March 21. Is your orientation at the Roehl terminal in Conley? How long is orientation?

Karen

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

My trucking school is in Conyers next Mon. I go by the terminal first to fill out new hire paperwork first. I'm excited & scared to death at the same time lol.

Four months ago I was in the same boat. Just take it one day at a time and you should make it just fine.
