Got a call from the recruiter at Roehl this morning, and have all the paperwork needed to get that rental car picked up tomorrow evening. I asked about bringing my compliment of "trucking gear" with me to orientation. Bring it now, or get it later? She told me to bring it with me. I hope the rental car is large enough! I over-prepare....
Four months ago I was in the same boat. Just take it one day at a time and you should make it just fine.

Thx: I gotta remember to pace myself lol.

I replied to the wrong post lol. When I thought I was gonna train outta state (WI), I was gonna bring my own car. I bring everything but the kitchen sink. I would need my own bus.

Watch how much stuff you bring with you. Remember after training your going to be going into a trainers truck and there isn't a whole lot of room in there. If your going to Marshfield there is a Wal-Mart in walking distance from the hotel. I'm not sure where you stay at for Appleton or Gary but I know there is Wal-Mart's pretty close to both of those terminals too. Just bring the essentials and then when you get your own truck and get home load it up.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
I'm not going out with a trainer after orientation. Friday comes and I get my own truck. I had enough miles with CRST to be hired as an "experienced" driver.
How was you not under contract with crst??? How long did you work for them??? Did they pay for your school???
That was one of the benefits I used from my G.I. Bill after 26 years of service. No contract. I was hired by CRST on 3 DEC 2015.
