When you transfer and out-of-state license back to your home state - you will have to pay the license & endorsement fees.

The National database is new to some dmv offices. I had to make an extra trip and some phone calls before they figured it out. Just be prepared for a little snafu.

My instructor was also a third party examiner. After passing, and paying for the test (50$), I had to wait a day then went to the dmv and got my license. a paper copy until I get the real one in the mail. I paid 20 dollars at the dmv. I also got all my endorsements knocked out while I was there and didn't have to pay extra.

Just got my CDL after graduating from driving school in Missouri. Paper copy for now. They are mailing the hard copy to my home in Arizona. Once that arrives I will have to pay $55 to get my CDL and all of my endorsements tranfered to AZ.

I was wondering when you test at a third party test site such as a driving school away from home state when you go back to get card is there a fee since you already had paid at the test sight? No paper copy was given but was told the information was put into a national database.
