Besides Schneider which other companies truly let you pick your own loads? I like how Schneider has it set up giving you the freedom to choose your load, where you want to go and when you want to take time off. Any other companies do that? Anyone aware if Jim Palmer Trucking happens to do that?
Prime does as well. And oh by the way, Jim Palmer pulls Prime trailers, so yeah they I am sure they do as well. Now at Prime, you may not be able to pick from several different loads, but you can turn down a load that they send you if you don't want to pull that one. They will send you load plans until you finally pick one. Now I would not advise turning down several in a row, you might be sitting for a day or more if you was to do that. Just sayin......
Now as a company driver at Prime, you are force dispatched. Which means you pull the load you are assigned, go where they tell you to. The only way you can turn down a load as a company driver is if you have a good reason to (such as you are due hometime and they are sending you in the opposite direction and will not be able to get you home in time).

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
