BILBERRY is tremendously helpful for vision. It was noticed that during WWII that a group of pilots in the British Royal Air Force had greater success on night bombing runs than their fellow pilots. They asked why. It was figured out that this group ate bilberry preserves.

Bilberries are a good source of vitamin E and C, bringing even more antioxidants to the mix (which are boosted by the Indian Gooseberries). Bilberries act both as an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. Known for lowering blood sugar levels, they also add strength and suppleness to vessels in the eye and extremities. Many eye difficulties are helped as bilberry contains flavonoids that protect the collagen needed to maintain healthy vessels in the eye. Varicose veins, inflammation, diarrhea, skin ulcers, poor digestion, high blood pressure and other circulatory problems are helped by the addition of bilberries. The strong anti-septic properties of bilberry also help heal mouth sores and gum disease linked to heart problems.

I use yellow sunglasses at night and its amazing the difference it makes. Get a cheap pair and try them out. If it helps then drop some dough on a nice pair.

Will this limit me any? Do most drivers drive at night because they have to? Or because they just prefer it cause it's less traffic & all. I don't want this to be a big major issue

I always drove at night even in my car. Less traffic... could drive faster... nit knowing where I'm going is easier cause I can slow and not bother anyone. With the truck I can leave at midnight and shut down during thw day when. Truck stops are empty.... often I will take a 2 hr break around 7 or 8 am and avoid the morning work traffic....then shut down b4 the 5pm work traffic.

One driver I know swears by those night glasses they sell at the teuck stop and I bought them but never used them

Theron, I was going to suggest this but some one beat me to it. Copy and paste to keep it simple: Night Time Driving Glasses are scientifically engineered to enhance your vision in low-intensity light situations. Their non-polarized, anti-glare lenses go to work instantly to filter out high-glare light from oncoming headlights, street lights and illuminated billboards. Theron, I believe this may help you. Ask your eye doctor about night time non-prescription glasses.

Couple of items. (1) make sure your inside windshield is clean and clear - not just the outside. (2) Turn down your dashboard lights and make sure no cab lights or bunk lights are on.

I bought one of those flip down things for my car visor that has a darker grey one for day driving and a yellow one for night or rain. Was skeptical until I used it during the rain and could deffinately se better with the yellow tint than without. Never drive my car without it now.

Here is something to consider and has not been mentioned. More people have this than are willing to admit.

Night Blindness

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
