It's been awhile. Since. I've been in a truck I have been with a trainer for 2 days now that gets very hostile raises. Voice. When I grand a gear or miss a gear in driving a Mack its gears are 1L1H 2L2H 3L3H 4 5 6 I'm trying to keep my cool cause. This guy has been doing it 25 years I don't get how he wants me to shift 1H wants me get up to 2,000 rpm shift to natural float in to 2h with the rpm dropping to about 1,600 so on to 6H down shifting he wants me to slow rpm to 1,000 shift to natural rev to 1,300 shift to 5H... I grind or lose gears... It's a Allison transmission...

If ya can't find it ...grind it!

In my opinion, if a trainer expects you to shift perfectly as a new driver, he or she, is expecting too much.
