One thing I have to say about my trainer is that when we pull into a truck stop at night he always seems to find the hardest spot to make me back into, but I love the challenge. Good place to practice I guess most people are not waiting for me to back in.

That's a good trainer right there! I wish mine had done that with me. I'd rather practice hard backs under the watchful eye of a trainer than never do a hard back until I have no other choice at a tight shipper with no one spotting me.
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.
Yep good trainer. My trainer did 90% of backing cause I took too long and time is money. Now that I'm on my own I practice in empty truck stops. It sux :( but I'll get it eventually

What makes you think so are so different from the rest of us... we all were nervous... we all screwed up at some point. I used to yell "big scary truck coming" and inch toward the shoulder of the road when someone passed me lol. I hated construction ... and of course I was terrified to hit anything. Guess what? I did hit something. And it wasn't the end of the world. I still got hired and the "trailer rebuild guy" said it was no big deal. He fixed the scrape in 10 minutes. Go slow.... stay in your lane.. ask the trainer if you can drive at night if less traffic is better for you for a little while. Backing??? Uh.. I still can't get in some doors without a spotter... and most guys are willing to spot you.
Just breathe and relax. Then don't hit anything lol
