Greetings all! I have been wanting to make the jump for a long time into trucking but never have had a good opportunity to do so. Finally, after I got my pay check last week and looked at it I just had enough. I have spent the last 3 years working in Fire and EMS and before that I was in the Army. After working an insane amount of OT and netting less than what I made when I worked in fast food I had enough. I am finally going for my dream job. I start with Millis Transfer out of Cincinnati, OH on April 11th. I am pumped. I love my job now but I need a change in my life. My wife is pumped too. We have 1 child and 1 on the way. Millis agreed to give me up to a week off for the birth of our son this July so hopefully they meant it. Anyways, If anyone has any advice or works or has worked for millis let me know! I am excited to absorb all the information I can and above all it will be nice to meet some people prior to my arrival.
Not working for Millis but congrats on your second baby and hope this works out for you, I got out of the Military last December and now I'm on my 5th week of training super solo, it is as advertised it's fun if your careful and be as safe as you can don't let nobody pressure you otherwise
