Needing some advice on when to down shift when going down a hill. Should i be below 1000 or somewhere above? Should i skip a gear when going down?

It's best to know what gear you need before you start downhill. Shifting on downhill can get you in trouble in a hurry, real easy to miss a gear and lead to a runaway truck.

When I was in training. My trainer teach me if you see a hill coming down shift befor the hill or mountain trying to down shift on a hill or even up shift is hard cause you lose rpm plus it puts pressure. On the gears which makes it harder to get out of gear of ur at 1,000 rpm you need to rev 4 points then shift
