Haha yeah everyone has been pretty much getting new or just about new freightliners. I really like them actually, not complaining one bit with the Pete though haha

I felt the need to come in here and defend Freighliners from Decou.

They are wonderful trucks. Yes, they tend to shake when you're going up a hill and your rpms are too low. Just shift down and it'll stop shaking, at least mine does. You want a Freightliner when you're starting out because they are very rookie friendly.

You can bet on getting a 2012 frieghtliner. If you get a 2013 consider yourself lucky. Getting a Volvo or a Peterbilt as a rookie is rare. Getting a kenworth is like winning the lottery - I've only seen one company driver with a kenworth. I've driven a Freightliner and a Peterbilt (386 model and 587 model).

I'd always wondered why those freighters were called freight shakers. Until a friend of ours, named Tiny bought a pretty purple one. We were triple driving 2 trucks headed to CA from VA..thank goodness Tiny was driving his truck !! TSB was in the sleeper, and I was runnin' tail gunner for a convoy of about 10 trucks. All of a sudden I see Tiny's truck make a dive for the ditch...I had to swing out to miss him, And I stopped a ways up the road. I came running back to his truck, and there he sits...with the ENTIRE overhead console in his lap..on the steering wheel..stuff everywhere....He didn't wreck his truck from the sudden stop. but I sat there and watched him RIP the rest of the overhead down with his bare hands. It had scared him that bad.by the time he got done, he had no cb, no cab lights, no radio, nothing but fiberglass shell starin' atcha if ya looked up. He took his truck back to frieghtliner to be fixed. And when he got it back, he put it in his own shop and drilled holes clear thru the danged thing and put in anchor bolts. I told him it looked like a purple Hellboy...he learned to hate that truck.....
