The BAD GUYS always have the gun. Shaking my head
That's because the good guys aren't allowed to carry them
DING DING DING........and Jakebrake wins the GRAND PRIZE! Maryland has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. How is it possible for that shooting to have taken place? That criminal was breaking the law.

How do you know he was a criminal before the shooting. He could have gotten the gun legally. Just like many of the nuts that commit thsee crimes
Shiva, Just trying to make a point using Sarcasm. It is practically impossible to possess, let alone carry a firearm in the State of Maryland. We are constantly told by certain politicians, that if we just make gun laws stricter, things like this won't happen. Well it did, and will continue to happen. That is all.
The man that was killed was a Prime trainer. Drove for Prime since 2005, was a police officer for seven years prior to trucking.
Not sure if gofundme's are frowned upon here so I won't post his memorial page, but it was a good man that was killed senselessly.
My trainer is telling me that the second person shot was his trainee, in critical condition last I heard. Prayers all around, what a nightmare for all 3 families.
Our Prime Family lost one of our own this past weekend. Chad Daniel has been a Prime Driver since 2005, and he touched many lives inside and outside of our company. Some of our drivers have set up a memorial fund in his honor for his kids. If you would like to donate or simply leave kinds words or a memory, please do so. Rest in peace, Chad. We will miss you.
We are friends of Chad Daniel. Chad was shot and killed at a truck stop in Jessup, MD on March 27, 2016 (Easter) by a person who mistook him for someone else.
Chad leaves behind 2 children and a fiance . His son Kyle, who is 20, is serving our country in the military and stationed currently in Italy. His daughter Kelsey, who is 15, is in GA . They will have many expenses in the coming days as they prepare to bury their father. We have set up this mermorial fund to help cover the funeral costs and travel expenses for his kids.
Chad has been a Prime Driver since December 2005 and trained and mentored dozens of new drivers and built many friendships over the many years. Prior to Prime, Chad drove for M.S. Carriers for 2 years and served his community as a Police Officer for 7 years. Chad made a positive impact on so many lives, and many people are inquiring where they can send money to help support his family. This fund has been created to do just that. 100% of all the money collected will go to them.

Seriously, seriously doubtful. Of the 300 million licensed firearms in the US, the number of those used in a crime by a licensed owner is .01%.
I just had this discussion the other day with a guy who was about as anti firearm as they come. He brought up the statistic about 30,000 deaths in the US last year from firearms. That number includes accidental shootings as well as suicides. I mentioned to him that of the 300 million licensed and registered firearms in the US, 299 million 970,000 didn't hurt a soul.
