What Robert said. Also your engine should have a govner on it that won't let you hurt the engine. I believe it's 2200 rpms. Then the engine will not rev any hire.

I use the jake brake on low when climbing and shifting, it drops the rpm fast so you can shift sooner rather than wait for the engine to spool down normally. Phil

Try driving for Schneider, you get used to everyone else passing you, hill or no hill.
