No, driving myself. Also paying for my own lodging. Living for 3 weeks with up to 3 total strangers in a motel room with bunk beds is NOT for me. Maybe in my 20's or Basic Training, but not for a 56 year old man that has lived by himself for 20+ years! I think living in a closet with a Mentor for 5 or 6 weeks will be more than enough for me!

Lol I hear that! I'm currently at 110 hours of my 200 with my mentor. It's going great I'm learning so much. Can't wait to finish & get my own truck tho.

Glad to hear you have a good Mentor. I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one. Some of the Trainer "Horror Stories" on these forums concern me a bit. I just want to get it over with regardless, and go solo. I'm a bit of a Loner/Gypsy type, I think this job will fit me well. Time will tell!

T-man there is a lot of group studying that occurs that you should try to participate in. This is especially valuable when learning all the points of the pre-trip inspection.

I get it, I was 54 when I attended Swift Academy, but I just don't want you to short change yourself by not staying with the rest of the gang when it comes to the study groups.

Thanks G. I will have no problem w/ study groups and things of that sort. Not anti social at all. Just need my own space and go to bed at 8:00 and get up around 3-3:30.
