Enjoy the trip. Watch out for moose. Yes, I saw a moose in Utah on 80 near the Wyoming border a few days ago.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
So happy for you Chickie.

Ooh I've always wanted to see a moose! So cool! Just not in the road please!

Santa Fe Springs!! I grew up "next door" in Downey.
Can't say there's much of interest there. Chris & Pitts BBQ is the local go-to for 'Que. SFS is the home of Laura Scudder potato chips. Ms. Scudder was the first to put chips in wax paper bags. You're in the middle of the vast suburbs stretching from Los Angeles to Disneyland.
Enjoy your trip over Cajon pass. (Hint: don't say "ka-john pass", locals will giggle. Say "ka-hone pass".)
I also grew up next door, in Norwalk. And yes the swap meet is the place to go. Used to have some pretty great deals, but I haven't been there in a long time.
We picked up our loaded trailer in Iowa at around midnight and stopped at a rest area to sleep.
I finally get to drive now and we are headed to Nebraska for our fuel stop before making the long run to California.

Fun fun. Get ready for some flat open road. Nebraska is flat once you get to Lincoln.
Quick tip, of you do encounter a moose in the roadway, DO NOT HONK YOUR HORN!! unless of course you really just want to see what a ticked off moose looks like and just how much damage they can do to a truck.
PS : if that moose happens to respond to Bullwinkle, is accompanied by a flying squirrel named Rocky and happens to be chasing a couple villains named Boris and Natasha, then just point them in the right direction.

And mine. That's was the much needed laugh I was looking for! So we are in North Platte Nebraska (which I had no idea was such a huge state) for showers and food. I feel like I have been driving for days! I saw some really cool stuff like giant wind turbines which was awesome!
All I want to do is curl up and sleep but I still have another 3-4 hours to drive... Ugh...

Well our trailer to Cali wasn't due until late so we took an empty to deadhead to Iowa. We just stopped for fuel in MO and I got my first rewards card at the Pilot! I'm gonna be driving the night shift tonight so I'll be hitting the sack soon.
Our route from Iowa to California takes us through Utah in the mountains which I am kinda nervous about! But we will see!
I know it's silly but for me this is the best day ever! I can't even contain myself I am so excited!
Deadhead:
To drive with an empty trailer. After delivering your load you will deadhead to a shipper to pick up your next load.
