I've been speaking with a recruiter from Jim Palmer. Everything's looking good so far, but she threw me off a little when she asked for the contact information for two people I'm close to. I assume this is to make sure they understand the career I'm trying to get into or something along those lines. Thoughts?
Personal references.
Pretty much every job app has them.
Rick
Personal refrences are standard when applying to a carrier. (Mine asked for 4). They're not gonna call them up & council them or anything. They may ask them how long you've known them to see If your answer matches theirs & If you're planning on attending a company sponsored school they need a few contacts in case you skip out of your financial obligations (like when buying a car).
I understand about references, but the recruiter specifically asked for family. That's the strange part to me.
I'm retiring from the military if that makes a difference for some reason.
Could it be emergency contacts, in the event that something were to happen to you on the road? I had to provide two at both companies I worked for.
