Although I cannot tell you too much about what they offer there employees I can say that their main facility in Illinois was great. It was a pleasure delivering to them. The facility was incredibly large with easy parking, overnight if need be. Also seems as if they get you in and out quickly. The equipment they drive seemed top notch trailers included. Wash Bays, Driver lounge, modern facility. If I were to judge them from overall appearance I would say top notch.
I was very impressed. As they say first impressions are the most important. If this is what I saw then they would certainly be on my radar if I was looking for a new carrier.
They're a very good company. I know one of their drivers pretty well (am a fan of his and his wife's band also) and he's been with them now for a little over 6 years, the only company he's ever driven for. He makes good money but he does the actual DC deliveries rather than the transfer driving but both pay well and they have good benefits.
Dennis, welcome aboard.
I see DOT trucks quite often in my journeys. I don't know a lot about them, other than that they are a food service company. Usually those jobs involve a lot of additional labor (loading and unloading with lots of stops).
We once had a driver in here who went to work for them, I don't remember their name, but if you'll use the search bar at the top of this page and put "DOT foods" in there you'll find a little info on them.
