Rainy, you did give me a good chuckle. I remember having days very similar to that when I was going through my rookie year. It keeps life interesting anyway, and it's always a good thing when we can laugh at ourselves. Your doing a great job!
Hahaha awesome story, always scares the crap outta me when I get wake up thinking it's twelve hours later!
I had an incredibly long and difficult day on Thursday. I got lost for over an hour on an army base... it took another to line the truck up with thw door.. My 90 was in eastern time. I woke the next morning and headed to my 01 not realizing I crossed the time zone to get to the truck stop. Started an hour later than I wanted but was still 90 min early.
I felt really drained although I only drove 300 miles and shut down at 230pm. Have 300 miles to my 90...my Appt is for 10am. I ate at Dennys took shower and hit the bed.
I awoke at 8 o clock... oh no.. I over slept.. it's bright out and lots of parking. .. I'm going to be at least 4 hours late!!!! I put my shirt on with one arm through the hole and the other arm twisted under my bra less breast..the guy in the next truck eyes popped out but i didnt care... (I'm female)...I started the truck cause I needed fuel and needed to get with dispatch.... how am I going to explain this??
Looked at My DOT clock and have no hours..what? Yep u guessed it... it was 8pm Friday not 8am Saturday.
What a relief hahhaha

Lol. Been there before working the night shift. Woke up thinking, 'Oh sh*t, I over slept. Wayyy over slept'. Started rushing getting ready for work thinking, 'why haven't I had a bunch of Irate calls from work, wondering where the f*** I am'. Then it dawned on me: 'the sun is on the wrong side. It's in the West not the East. It's sunset, not sunrise. I've only been asleep like 40 minutes.'
I know what a relief that feels like when you figure out you were mistaken, lol. Unfortunately the adrenaline rush from thinking I was so late made it hard for me to get back to sleep after I realized my error.
I try to set all my clocks on personal devices to military time now.
Wait... 5his story gets worse. I posted that from inside the truck stop... after I removed my shirt I grabbed a zip up hoodie.. no shirt or bra.. no purse aND went to the bathroom.
I get to the truck... no key around my neck... I sleep with it on my neck.. took it off with the shirt accidentally. ..go to the magnetic hide a key... not there. The third key is locked in the purse in truck.
So I spent the remainder of my break waiting for tow company to charge me $100 to break into the teuck. Good thing prime added money to my comdata foe me or I would have been screwed.
Hey the begining of my week was similar... Kinda screwed up... Of course you got me beat with locking the keys inside.
One of the things I like about my Pete, you can't lock yourself out as you need the key to lock the door.
On the other hand, I've opened a couple of trucks for drivers that locked their keys in them.

Picturing Old School with his arm all twisted up in his bra strap.. Now that's funny.... in a sick kind of way but hey, to each their own.

Darn You Paul!
I was carefully walking into a tuck stop cafe, in the dark, at about five this morning when I read this on my phone:

I started laughing so hard that I didn't notice I was stepping into a pot-hole. Now I've got a limp in my strut because my 4" stiletto heel shifted to the side and i twisted my ankle!
