The great thing about the Volvo is that it doesn't take "forty acres" to turn your rig around. I've maneuvered my Volvo and 53 foot trailer in some places that were so tight it looked like magic the way we got in and out of there.

The Volvo definitely has the advantage in the steering department, especially when you consider most large carriers are also running the shorter wheelbase. The trade off is ride comfort, while it's not bad, it's far from being the Rolls Royce of the trucking world. I think that title would still fall in the lap of the 389 Pete or KW W900, just due to ride comfort and quality of materials and build.
