I have been on the road a few months now. I was wondering what kind of different excercise equipment people use in their truck. Is there a cheap, free standing pull up bar out there?

I keep a jump rope, a set of dumbbells and a couple of resistance bands in the truck. I'm not trying to be a body builder or power lifter so big weights aren't needed, high rep, low weight works just fine and I'll change up the routine for muscle confusion. I do crunches throughout the day and push-ups as well.

I used to have dumbbells with me and I used to do quite a bit of running. I also used to do any exercises I could make up in the space available - pull ups on the upper bunch, elevated pushups with my feet on the bed - whatever you can do.

The resistance bands would be one of the best pieces of equipment to bring in a truck as long as you don't smash yourself in the face with em. About 1 out of every 5 funniest videos on TV seems to be someone getting smacked by one of those bands.
