Congratulations. You've earned it. Now you can enjoy it. Stay safe, the adventure is just beginning.
Congrats man! Now the real fun begins!
Make sure you specifically ask about getting a load home right away--I thought it was a given when I got off my trainers truck but they kept me out a couple extra weeks first. When I asked why I hadn't gotten home yet, the dispatcher I talked to said they didn't know I wanted to go home! Lol.
What terminal will be your home terminal, and will you be running reefer or dry van?
Good luck and stay safe!!
I'll be running Reefer out of West Valley City, Utah. & I'll be sure to ask about that!
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
A refrigerated trailer.
Way to go, Theron! You have the right attitude.
Now the real fun begins. Soon you'll get a truck, then that First Dispatch. (Make sure you start out with an empty trailer.) Get to the pick-up location (Send that "Arrived at Shipper" message!), check in with the gard shack. Drop that empty, find the loaded trailer, hook up, .... now what?
That may not be when it happens, but sometime you will get a now what moment. enjoy!
Thanks a lot Errol! For everything. I can not wait !
The customer who is shipping the freight. This is where the driver will pick up a load and then deliver it to the receiver or consignee.

Nice! That's what I do too! Do you live in UT? I live by Denver but the UT terminal is still kinda my home terminal cause that's where they run reefer out of. Who's your DM? Maybe ill run into you one of these days

Did you set the terminal on fire to celebrate? I mean I know you were excited but that may have went a little to far...
It wasn't me! Well hey even if it was not like I would admit to it online & blow my cover!
