Got a pretty funny memory for myself. I always grin when I think of this one.

Had to make a 90 degree right hand turn so I took both lanes. While I am waiting for the light to change a "lady" pulls up in the right lane behind me. I can see her cussing me for having both lanes. Light turns green and she proceeds to try to cut inside of my turn. I stop with her pinned between me and the curb until she backed up. Now she's really mad and cussing.

Get to the next light and she pulls into the center lane along side of me, rolls her window down and starts yelling at me about how I don't own the road. I politely said excuse me and when she opened her mouth again, I blasted her with my air horn.

I only wish I had a video of her jumping in her seat. I bet it scared her so bad she peed herself.

You passed my hometown about 10 minutes before the Arkansas line and my current place of residence about 30 minutes before Little Rock. They have brought a couple of herds of Buffalo into Oklahoma over the last few years and they seem to be thriving. It was done in cooperation with the Cherokee Nation aand after the first herd did well another was brought into a different location.

The next was crossing Lake Eufala in Oklahoma. It was very pretty but the best part was the next exit after the lake. Lotawatah Rd... I've been laughing about that for days now!

Chickie I am from Oklahoma...a little east of Lake Eufala so I know about Lottawata...and also in Oklahoma you will find..Nowatta. Thought you'd get a kick out of that.

When you went through Oklahoma and Arkansas on your way to Alabama if you were on I-40 you passed my hometown and my current place of residence. Love your posys..stay safe out there!!

We were on I-40 all the way to Memphis. I thought Oklahoma was very beautiful and different. And I saw one single lonely buffalo which was pretty neat.

Thank you for doing what I've wanted to do MANY times already haha

Somehow I posted this on the "Werner" thread. DUH!

I was hoping to find the photo I took of my most memorable moment, but unfortunately unable to locate it. Hopefully I can present enough detail to paint an effective visual image.

It was just before dawn, headed to Portland OR, West on I-84, paralleling the Columbia River Gorge, when the snow covered peak of Mt. Hood gradually became illuminated out of the darkness. The rays of sun reflecting off the ice and snow projected a visual treat the likes of which I had never seen live. It was both majestic and surreal, a breathtaking image I will never forget.

I have seen a lot of cool stuff, but Mt. Hood at dawn was by far my best memory as a driver. At that very moment in time I felt both large and small, as if it was only me looking at this giant mountain, and it was looking back at me.

I have two, one scary, one funny.

Two days ago I watched a car run into the concrete barrier between northbound and southbound I-45 in Houston during rush hour. He was 20 feet away out my left window as he swerved to avoid hitting an SUV that had just been brake-checked by a sports car. The car did a 180 and slid backwards for a second on top of the barrier before he settled down back on the side he started from. I guess he didn't save any time that day by weaving in and out of stop and go traffic.

The other moment was when I saw a moose calf trotting down the middle of I-90 east of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, early on morning. I laughed out loud thinking about our own Daniel B.'s pictures of elk that he thought were moose. For the record, Daniel, this is what a moose looks like. Notice his moose-y, Bullwinklish head. (I apologize for the crappy video quality - I tried to brighten it up a bit but lost resolution in the process.)

While traveling along around Indio on I10 in light traffic I heard a boom on the drivers side. I startled and checked my mirror. A Ford Ranger pickup was next to my tractor. I think the boom was his rear, passenger tire blowing out. He was going about 70 mph. I think he panicked and steered. He skidded a little toward me then swerved left. He hit the K rail and flipped to the right. He landed upside down blocking the two left lanes. I slowed down but immediately realized the best way I could help was through prayer.

I survived nearly jakeknifing over a bridge with black ice, on EB I-80 at mm334, Saturday morning during this current blizzard.

I slid sideways across a bridge, left and then right. 5 seconds of terror. I hope it never happens again.

I know one thing, the roadway at Lake Eufala is pretty rough. I found driving into Chicago at night was pretty cool....Sears Tower that's what I still call it anyhow

I don't have much experience yet but two memorable moments definitely stick out to me so far.

The first was driving into Flagstaff and rounding that corner and there is a HUGE mountain in my view! Not sure what mountain it is but I did a little happy dance in my seat and just admired it!

The next was crossing Lake Eufala in Oklahoma. It was very pretty but the best part was the next exit after the lake. Lotawatah Rd... I've been laughing about that for days now!

I just had a new one this morning. I almost got a horse. A herd of then appeared on the side of the road and 4 of them wandered into the road ahead of me. 3 of them looked at me and moved or of the way, the 4th didn't even look my way. I stopped maybe an inch or two away from him, then he moved out of the way.

I ended up having to call my fleet manager for a hard braking incident, but other than that everything turned out fine.
