I don't know much about older rigs. But I was walking by this truck at a Walmart DC dock this morning and it just made me think of this thread.
Mid to late 80’s KW-100 COE Aerodyne.
BJ and The Bear repainted their truck?!?!

And put chicken lights on it...
I have several hundred prints and slides of old trucks I’ve photographed at shows dating back to 1998. Mostly older, restored stuff. I haven’t taken the time to scan all of them...
Some day I will.
Some awesome pictures and very cool looking rides. Thanks for sharing.
These are great pictures. When I was a kid I built a lot of Cabver models they were my favorite. I took great pains to give each one a fancy paint job. I also enjoyed building motorcycle models. These old trucks are really cool. Thanks for sharing with us.
I've always enjoyed taking in the sights at the truck stops. What I mean is I enjoy seeing all the different trucks.
I like to see the old "Cab Overs" - I think I've heard them referred to as "Kidney Crushers" - If I were ever going to go the owner operator route, I would get one of those old classics and run it across the country - just because I could! Just take a look at this one that I saw on the cover of a trucking publication - That's classic stuff man!
Here's another one I spotted at a truck stop that was really neat and clean with a husband and wife team running refrigerated loads in it. If you think it is tight quarters in your condo conventional cab, imagine living together with another person in this rig!
Here's a neat looking wrecker that I spotted this morning at the "Midway" truck stop in Columbia, MO. I was interested because of the nice clean looking graphics on the truck, but then I got a little chuckle out of what some of them said. It's pretty obvious this Peterbilt has a Caterpillar engine - you'll know what I mean when you see what it says on the fuel tanks!
Hey, if you see a really cool truck out there, feel free to add it to this thread of "Eye Candy." You can even add your own truck in here if you like - there's no rig any better than your own - in fact I think I'll be the first to put up a pic of my own rig in here.
There she is, my home, my transportation, and my paycheck each week. We've bonded together real nicely, I''l hate to give her up one day, but then there will be another that I'll grow fond of as we criss-cross the country together on the open road!
Ur looking at the lot lizards aren't u😁😁😁 she's a beauty ain't she...
An owner-operator is a driver who either owns or leases the truck they are driving. A self-employed driver.

You met Steven Tyler? Aerosmith rocks!
But check her out— she’s staying hydrated— she’s got smarts real good.
