Yeah. Brett, if you're reading this, we need a like button or forum reputation or SOMETHING to symbolize a good post! (other than the "Great Answer!" thing)

Also, that is quite the truck there, Old School. I love Western Stars but have never been a fan of the 4900s. But, this one does look quite good. I love those new 5700XE's, though...

Electric Auxiliary Power Units

Electric APUs have started gaining acceptance. These electric APUs use battery packs instead of the diesel engine on traditional APUs as a source of power. The APU's battery pack is charged when the truck is in motion. When the truck is idle, the stored energy in the battery pack is then used to power an air conditioner, heater, and other devices
