Chickie word of caution monitor that tire carefully. I've seen rubs like that before and it looks like nothing but could potentially be something. Not trying to scare you, just saying anytime you stop take a hard look at it to make sure it didn't do something.

I dropped off that trailer a couple of hours ago. And it will probably sit at that DC for a good while.

Got a call from Kenworth this morning. Turns out that Teddy's fan clutch is bad. Not entirely sure what that is but I'm assuming it is what makes the engine fan turn on and off. They ordered the part but it won't be in until Monday night or Tuesday. So it will be at least late Tuesday until we can get back on the road.

Oh and they are calling for severe weather and possible tornadoes in this area on Tuesday. I was hoping to be out of here by then!!

I guess when it rains, it pours!

Don't worry about the weather! You are close to a lot to see. Lake Texhoma Turner falls, Arbuckle mountains. Half way between Dallas and OKC. Fort Worth has the stockyard. That is where Billy Bobs is located. I don't know the schedule but there is a train that runs between OKC and Dallas. Also from Dallas to Ft. Worth. Down time is fun time! Teddy will be up and running hard in no time.

I was just grateful to be able to get some laundry done! We had only a couple days of clean clothes left. And it was much cheaper than a truck stop!

We are just hanging out in the hotel with a nice comfy giant bed and binge watching law and order svu. Resting up and relaxing. Only bad part? There isn't a grocery store within walking distance... I really need to go to Walmart!

I believe that Ardmore has a public transport service, Madill does and it is much smaller. You should check into that, it would only be a few miles seeing Walmart is just I the old part of town.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.

I looked it up a little while ago. They do have one but they aren't open on the weekends so I'm going to call them tomorrow about getting a ride to Walmart.

Uber requires a credit/debit card and I drained the bank account before we left. I tried that too.

I don't know the words to say what I feel. Last thing I needed first thing this morning. Comes to mind. I read what you write and I know that is what is in your heart. To not get that 2200 mile haul has not only hurt financially but emotionally. Wish you weren't 150 miles away! I'd be glad to take you to wally world. But I've also seen that tough side. That is what will prevail, you are now a truck DRIVER!!
