Gunner, not a FFE employee, but I can almost guarantee you that they will give you a new physical for a new med card. Most companies are still using a standard shift when they road test you, can't answer about what you will actually train on.
Gunner, I've always thought FFE had a really good training system set up, and as far as I can tell they have kept that in place after KLLM took over the company, so you should be in good hands.
Forgot to say it, but I am glad to see you get this thing off the ground!
Thanks for the input. It's taken me a few years to finally make the leap out of sales so I'm super excited to get started. Lots of unknowns but I know once I get out there I'll settle in nicely.

I drive for FFE.....went thru their training 2 years ago....it was all manual trucks back then but i know some drivers are getting autos now
I have nothing bad to say about the training or the company...they keep me running and all is good
They do have a brand new school that recently opened at the terminal in south Dallas
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Hey, heading out to my 6 day refresher to FFE in TX next week. Just wondering if anyone here works for them that may have some POSITIVE input/advice as to what to expect. Things to take, whether my current med card will work or if I'll need a new physical out there, do they train on manuals or autos (really don't want to train on an auto). Anyway, stuff like that. Appreciate any positive input. R
