Good job Chad. I am currently studying for my permit and I have been reading training diaries to see what it's like for people. Glad it's going well so far.
Glad to hear you are doing well, especially after your experience w Stevens.

So far my time with my trainer has been great, drove 9.5 hours (582) miles yesterday, had short drive today, load is due tomorrow morning. My trainer has me double clutching still, because that's what we have to do to get upgraded to a 1st seat driver. Seen some amazing parts of the country already, and although the weather is warm it's been sunny. Gonna do a little night driving tomorrow, so that will be a challenge. Until next time...
Double Clutch:
To engage and then disengage the clutch twice for every gear change.
When double clutching you will push in the clutch, take the gearshift out of gear, release the clutch, press the clutch in again, shift the gearshift into the next gear, then release the clutch.
This is done on standard transmissions which do not have synchronizers in them, like those found in almost all Class A trucks.
