May God bless Moose and let him feel His hand upon him. And may God comfort you as well Keith, his friend, as you deal with this difficult situation.
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
Moose will be in my prayers tonight, whao that testimony was deep, thanks for sharing,..... out
I don't really have any questions or comments on any topics,I just wanted to share a true story about a great trucker who in all likelihood (unless the good Lord intervenes) will never grace those asphalt trails with his presence again.I'm not a trucker,oh I long to be I love the open road, waking up in one state and resting my head at days end three or four states from where I started.I just love driving those big trucks, see I drove for about a year OTR ,but I started a family and had kids and one day after their grown I have the greatest hope to get back out there, but the man I'm about to tell you about...well he's the opitimaie of what a trucker is,his name is David Beagle aka MOOSE,he grew up in Colorado and trucking is all he's ever known.Moose has driven everything from dump trucks to OTR rigs and is an o/o that over the years has managed to etch out a decent living .I've seen him nearly loose it all and work his way back through ,trucking,he wouldn't give up on his passion but his body is about to give up on him,Moose was diagnosed with multiple myeloma bone cancer about a year ago,he fought hard and after a grueling six months of chemotherapy, radiation, and various meds he was in full remission,by the way Moose is only 50,he was so excited about getting back out on the road.I would always talk to him about trucking, the ins and outs, ups and downs,he was my way of still feeling the rush, the reason you love the indescribable reason you love trucking ,we could talk for hours about all aspects of trucking (rambling sorry),well about two months into remission Moose got a cold, his back started hurting and within a week of that I noticed his color didn't look just right,he went back for his check up and his cancer is back, and I'm sad to say with a vengeance,it's all throughout his skeletal system although the doctors are trying everything they can, even a new drug that was just approved by the FDA nothing seems to be responding and now he's been off the road for almost a year and the future of returning looks bleak to say the least,I'm not trying to be negative about the situation just realistic.I just wanted to share a small piece of one of the greatest truckers I've ever been blessed to know.Trucking to Moose is like that breath of crisp clean mountain air you get on a cool brisk fall morning and though like anyone in the industry knows it's not all roses he absolutely loves it and lives to haul,so while your out there trying to keep your eyes from slamming shut at night cause you love what you do and that load just can't be late cause failure is not in your vocabulary send up a prayer for an old trucker.....thanks from a wannabe trucker
OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Thanks for sharing that story. I'll say a prayer for him.
Prayers of comfort and healing for Moose and thanks to God for putting Keith in his life.
