Randy L. I am actually leaving Saturday 5/21 for Swift training academy in Memphis, and I will be 50 in September...

Yes, if your search for -ErrolV Memphis diary" you'll find Swift Academy, Memphis TN toward the top of the list.

But you don't go to Millington anymore, you get new digs right next door to the terminal.

I try to stop by the hotel Saturdays. Mondays I often can take you to my truck, at 4:30 am.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

What does swift have in there trucks ? fridge ? inverters ? APU ? nothing ? lol

APU:

Auxiliary Power Unit

On tractor trailers, and APU is a small diesel engine that powers a heat and air conditioning unit while charging the truck's main batteries at the same time. This allows the driver to remain comfortable in the cab and have access to electric power without running the main truck engine.

Having an APU helps save money in fuel costs and saves wear and tear on the main engine, though they tend to be expensive to install and maintain. Therefore only a very small percentage of the trucks on the road today come equipped with an APU.

Nothing but a bunk haha. Some trucks have inverters but usually that's for people that have a cpap machine.

CPAP:

Constant Positive Airway Pressure

CPAP is a breathing assist device which is worn over the mouth or nose. It provides nighttime relief for individuals who suffer from Sleep Apnea.

Mine had an inverter (shhh!) and someone left their non-functional CB in here haha. That's it.
