I'm baffled about this, but Swift just "approved" a friend of mine from college who just committed a felony a few months back

Yeah, that's quite baffling because their policy states that all felonies must be at least 10 years old. But they might be in the midst of a big hiring bonanza, looked at the details of your buddy's felony, and said ok. And no, we don't want any details about his felony or anything like that. But that's great for him that they're giving him a shot!

Baffle:

A partition or separator within a liquid tank, used to inhibit the flow of fluids within the tank. During acceleration, turning, and braking, a large liquid-filled tank may produce unexpected forces on the vehicle due to the inertia of liquids.

Yeah that's a possibility. I imagine they're losing alot of drivers over the whole DashCam thing. They had them in a lot of trucks already, but installation of new ones was seemingly dormant for a while. Then they recently announced they were going to install them in all the company trucks and got busy--it rubbed alot of people the wrong way. So yeah, maybe that's it, or they've changed the policy.

Like I said though, not to be pessimistic, but hiring isn't done until orientation so it's not a done deal yet.
