Happy to oblige your request. Not sure how good of a truck driver you are, but you sure do have tremendous resolve, persistence, a positive attitude, and gobs of patience. This alone sets you way ahead of many drivers and will serve you well in this career choice. Best of luck as you deal with this.
You could make a movie about this!
Oh. That's right: Trucks, Buses and Automobiles.
Prayer that you can take care of Hubby soon!
Hope everything goes well
CM- Thanks for letting us know... Best wishes... Prayer sent.
There is a bit of good news out of all of this!
Before I left Teddy at Kenworth I got a message on my Treq.
Last week I was a DriveCam top performer! This is only given to about 20 people per week. I had no coachable incidents and no recorded speeding.
So I feel pretty good about that! If I do this 4 weeks in a row it means a bonus...
Hi CM,
Praying for you and your husband... safe travels, wisdom for the Dr. that treats your husband, and that all will go well there. Congrats on your Top Performer award, there is always a little bit of sunshine even on the darkest of days...Great Job.
Good luck, you two are in my prayers.
Well we are on the bus! Finally!
We finally got the tickets straightened out about an hour before we were set to leave.
I guess my Greyhound rite of passage into trucking is a little delayed! I thought I dodged a bullet because I drove my personal vehicle to orientation but I guess not.
Best part? We are on track to get home in time for the doctor!

That's great news! Remember how excited you were to see Nebraska last week? I'm not sure you can get out of there soon enough now!!

So remember when I said Teddy got hit?
That was Saturday. It's Wednesday and we are STILL IN NEBRASKA!!
We had scheduled hometime for yesterday through the 2nd as hubby had a doctors appointment to get his medication. Without the meds he can potentially get very sick and possibly end up in the hospital. He's been juggling them and has managed to stretch out the meds until the 3rd.
We finally got towed away from the Flying J in north Platte yesterday. We were towed 100 miles to Kearney as that was the closest KW shop.
I've been on the phone constantly with my DM looking for a way home. I can't rent a car because I would either need a major credit card or to have full coverage on my personal vehicle. I don't have either.
Then they wanted to put us in a recovery truck. That's fine. But there wasn't any trucks available. Then my dispatcher rounded one up. In Oklahoma. Ok fine.
They were generous and provided Greyhound tickets for both of us. But we had to get a cab to the next town over. But the cab couldn't get us there in time to catch the bus. Great...
So we caught the cab and checked into a hotel for the night and dispatch set up tickets for today.
So now we are at the gas station that serves for a bus station and they can't print our tickets...
2 hours later and several phone calls to greyhound later, they are getting us on the bus with no tickets. It's not actually greyhound that runs through this area so when we get to Omaha we are going to try and print the tickets at the actual greyhound station.
26 hours on the grey dog to Ardmore (again?!?) then we pick up the recovery truck and run like heck to try to get home before 11:20 Friday. My husbands Drs office double booked him in then so that he can get his meds.
So fellow Truthers, I'm asking everyone to send up a little prayer that this all works out in the end.
