Maybe there is a shelter near by. Well, tent and campground sounds better. Keep that good attitude. Wish I could be of more help.

Shelter?!?!?!? Good one!
I really do appreciate the kind words and l know you have my best interests at heart, but sometimes you just gotta say the funny sh*t that crosses your mind!! That was an exceptionally good one Scott, particularly when followed up by the concession to the campground idea!!!
Good job man, you made me feel a whole lot better about this! All I can do is to wait anyway, what the heck else am I gonna do? Enthusiastically commune with nature?!?!?!? LOL After three days at a state camp site, the state of Colorado will be telling Stevens, "Alright already, give this guy his damn job, are you trying to make all the wildlife in Colorado commit suicide?!?!?!?

LMFAO. Now I understand your screen name. Don't scare the wildlife like that. I was once baned from Jellystone because I looked at Yogi and he was scared half to death. Ha ha. Laughter truly is the best medicine.

Don't scare all the wildlife. I've been waiting three years for a Colorado elk tag!
I've liked your training blog. I lived in Dallas for many years and saw Stevens trucks often. I was up in Garland today (other side of Mesquite). Sorry to hear about the medical hold up. If I still lived up there, I'd let you crash.

Thanks man, I appreciate the thought. My doctor called me this evening and he is going to try to call the doctor at Stevens and see if he can work something out as he has my complete medical history and agreed that this is just ridiculous and unfounded. Besides that, he said it could take them weeks to get me into neuro for any tests. He is going to see if he can get the Stevens doctor to agree to the tests being done in three months when I would be back at the yard anyway (like he was going to do for the sleep apnea thing). By that time, the V.A. could have me scheduled for both and get them done easily. Here's hoping!!

A physical disorder in which you have pauses in your breathing, or take shallow breaths, during sleep. These pauses can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. Normal breathing will usually resume, sometimes with a loud choking sound or snort.
In obstructive sleep apnea, your airways become blocked or collapse during sleep, causing the pauses and shallow breathing.
It is a chronic condition that will require ongoing management. It affects about 18 million people in the U.S.
Sounds like you have a good doctor. That's rare these days. Good luck.
I for one am happy for this delay in your approval as it gives us more opportunities to read of your journey. OK so that sounds worse than I really feel because I do actually agree with everyone's well wishes and rooting for you DISTURBD. That was just my selfish side kicking in as I have so enjoyed reading your thread that I don't really want it to stop. I do hope that you will start another after this part of the journey for training ends and your next leg begins.
I am hoping that some day Stevens will give you a run that takes you to or through Lebanon NH and I could buy you lunch or dinner at Fort Harry's truck stop and get to meet you and hear of the tales you have to tell. If I ever find myself in the position of finally going for my CDL-A, Stevens and Marverick have been two flatbed companies that I would like to look into.
I wish you all the best and safest days ahead and will be praying for your approval from the Stevens doctors.

Thank you so much for your well-wishes! I would love to continue this blog as the journey continues, that is if anyone is interested in my experiences and slightly askew point of view! LOL Also, Stevens runs all lower 48 states, so I would imagine that at some point I would be through there or at least close. I would love to see the leaves in fall up there with all the hardwood trees and the colors they generate! Have only see it in pictures and on TV and I am sure that does it no justice at all. I remember the lead in to the Bob Newhart show and have wanted to see that area ever since! As a matter of fact, in training with a mentor driver, we are required to run all four regions of the country and a number of mountain passes among other things to check off all of the training objectives.
To everyone...thanks so much for your well-wishes and support!! I'm sure it helps!
