Sounds great. Glad to hear you have such an awesome doctor. Also happy to hear it seams like all the positive things I've heard about Steven's seems to be true. Keep up the positive attitude.
Addition:
I know that we read a lot of really negative things about the large trucking companies on here and TT really tries to explain that they are super large companies that do their best to relate to the individual and their unique circumstances, and I have to say that realizing just how hard that must be for a company of that size, I have been very, very encouraged by the attention and personal consideration I have received from Stevens Transport and the head recruiter, Don Voight. He has been very involved in my situation and recognizes me immediately any time I call him and remembers my situation so that I don't have to remind him of it each time. How cool is that? He has gone above and beyond and I am eternally grateful for it!! Do you really think that I am not going to be the totally company motivated employee once I finally do get out there on my own?!?!?! I have made a commitment to myself that this will probably be the last company I ever work for and I think that I have finally made an exceedingly good choice!!
I still have to wait for the notification from the V.A. as to when my appointments actually are, and I am hoping that this V.A. facility is as good as the Denver one, but I am in good cheer as I don't think that it is anything to worry about. I'm old, but I am not dead or anywhere close to it!!
Still very excited, having a blast, and lovin' the process!!!

I check on this every day if I can. It's great that you are sticking this out!
And from 8 years of experience with my husbands disability, I just have to say that you have a totally awesome Doctor! Don't ever let that one go because they are extremely hard to come by!!

Okay, many things have happened since I last posted. I don't know for sure if my doctor got in touch with the Stevens doctor, but from what has happened, I have to think that he did and the Stevens doctor continued to be a complete ****-head as has been the case I have experienced throughout this procedure. A V.A. nurse called me today and told me that they are going to schedule me for the neuro exam here in Dallas. I am still at the mercy of just how soon that can happen, but at least the process is moving forward. I know that everyone has seen on the news how messed up the new V.A. facility in Denver has been, but I am here to tell you that they are one of the most efficient and proficient facilities going in the V.A. system. Yes, they deal with very many Vets and you often wait for appointments, but if it is something critical, they manage to get you in right away and they so truly care about your timely and efficient treatment. I have nothing bad to say about the care I have gotten from the V.A. My doctor is absolutely amazing and as a matter of fact called me at 8:30 pm last night to find out just what was going on with my situation with getting approved by Stevens' doctor as to my clearance to work. I know that my doctor has my back and I have absolutely no doubts as to that situation!! He rocks and has nothing but my absolute best interests in mind in his dealings with me or anyone else. He has even been brutally honest with me when he thought I was wrong, so I definitely do not doubt his motivations!!
I called the head recruiter that I have been dealing with since their doctor went weird on me and he was way cool. I told him what I was told and that I was in a motel room here very close to the yard just waiting to hear what the V.A. could work out and he was very encouraged to hear that they were going to do the tests here in Dallas. He told me to call him tomorrow and let him know just what is going on and that he will get me back into a company motel room to keep it from costing me to be here! How awesome is that?!?!? It may not seem like much unless you are the one sitting here, but it tells me that he was absolutely telling me the truth when he told me that my job was not in jeopardy and that I would definitely be working for Stevens as soon as we get this all sorted out. I am slowly being reassured that my decision to choose Stevens Transport was the right one!! I know that everyone's experience is different due to circumstances, but I do have to say that everything I have been told seems to be coming true just as I have been told. I don't have any idea how much this guy knows about my ratings so far through training, but I have to think that he must have gotten some positive feedback to justify the extra efforts I am being extended to keep my here. If not, then that just says so very much more about how serious they are about making sure your investment in getting through CDL school means to them in meeting your investment and dedication to accomplishing a goal.
Still don't know for sure as there is a lot of room for interpretation here, but I sure feel good about what I am seeing here. Feeling very encouraged and still having a blast and very excited about the end game!!
