Errol misreads:

By this time it's almost 1800... so go in sleeper till 2300. Get an hour out and BOOM!!!!

I thought Rainy was in the sleeper. Missed the "At 2300 I started up, then an hour out and BOOM!!!!" Much worse: you weren't parked!

Sad part, DriverCams don't look into mirrors or out the back.

Good to know you are ok Rainy. Was wondering about rear view cameras. I think it's a question I asked awhile back for this same reason. Any in the market?

How did kitty handle it? I'm concerned about bringing mine on the truck with me in the event of something like this happening.

Glad to hear your okay, even though it wrecked the remainder of the day. Hopefully they catch the idiot.

Goofball didn't even notice. They hit the trailer so we felt nothing. It wasn't even that loud of a noise. He didn't bother getting out of bed until he saw the pretty flashing lights on the cop car... the pawed the window until they came to play with him. Smh... he's 10 .. but If it was bad.. he'd find a safe hiding place lol

I don't know how to put pics up.. and Rick.... you make me blush

Rainy, When you click on the "Start New Reply" button, there's all those blue things above the text area. Click on the "Photo" one. Then just above that there's a text:

Need help? We have instructions for sharing photos from photo sharing sites

That link will get you you-know-what. BTW, use or open a Photobucket account. You need a place online to store your photos.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I talked to safety this morning.. at first it seemed they were grill g me.. the. U pointed out I did not get a critical event.. didn't slam the brakes.. I controlled the teuck and pulled over called 911 and dispatch while setting up my triangles and wearing my vest. I was very controlled.. it was later dealing with "update.. eta needed. .. what's the word" bs. I gave then an eta of noon... so wth does it matter where I park today?

Forgot to tell you... my FM came in this morning and said "drop the traiker after your 90 and bobtail home". I asked him if I was fired and he laughed.... I forgot I request hometime hahahah yay. After this weekend I could use it

Bobtail:

"Bobtailing" means you are driving a tractor without a trailer attached.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
