Somehow I always hop on and forget to come in here:/ Welp lets see. Im still enjoying OTR career. I became a trainer at the end of Aug but still no students:/ My company only hires students out of school so I think thats the reason. Most woman do company sponsored schools. Im now the only female trainer so maybe ill be able to give someone the benifit of my knowledge soon. I made the Allstar banquet at my job. Top 50 of 500 drivers are invited and I made it happen my rookie year! !!!! I guess some folks are just made for this. Mistelle I thought I saw ya one night at the Petro im Freemont, IN I69 exit 354? I think it is but it was early and I couldnt tell if it was you or not. It was awhile back. Probably your first 2 months solo. Ive been getting the unluck of the draw with loads last 2 weeks. Guess its bound to happen sometime right? I really dont pop on much but if yall ladies ever need anything im always available. Just shot me a message or you can call. Im much better on the phone;) Well guess thats all for now. Ill catch yall on the road The big blue WEL truck 31012!

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Hi Ladies,

I am just starting the process, I have been looking into schools and found 2 that with company sponsorships. One is out of state and one is not. I have a difficult situation as I am a single mom to a 3 year old now I have been getting some negative feedback when I say that, but I am a single mom who has to put food on the table n need to purchase a table(lol). I am going to have a rough road ahead but the faster I do this the faster I can go local.

I sent you a pm and suggest you look into roehl. They have a variety of home time choices as well as a sponsored training program. I have contacted them and am currently saving to attend their training program. It is in WI, but they recently started paying for housing during training. Transportation, food and licensing fees aren't included.

So they will put a roof over your head, but let ya starve while you go thru training....nice try...but I think theres better deals out there...some of them atleast feed you continental breakfast, and a sack lunch, AND a place to stay.... If money is gonna be an issue, it pays to look around
