I understand how you feel! I must have went over my check list like 5 times just to make sure I didn't forget anything! Kinda hard to decide what to pack when you can only bring like 1 duffle bag. I think you can bring another but you will have to pay for its storage, then you wouldn't want TOO much stuff on your Mentors truck since you will probably be sleeping with it. Hope all goes well & good luck!!
Congrats! I finished Swift's 3 week program several weeks ago. Starting week 3 with my Mentor. I'm loving it.
Kat, Im just gonna miss you! Im leaving Springfield tonight with my trainer! Im so excited lol
Congrats and good luck
Happy journey. Though I'm with XPO, I'm in Springfield, with my hotel a couple of buildings down from Prime lol
I'm just going to miss you. My trainer and I are taking off at 4am tomorrow morning. Prime is great though. Good luck and have fun.
Kat, I'm Here now and just finishing PSD , I'm test Wednesday and then off to TNT phase. Prime has been great, good luck with everything.
Prime Inc has a CDL training program and the first phase is referred to as PSD. You'll get your permit and then 10,000 miles of on the road instruction.
Prime’s PSD begins with you obtaining your CDL permit. Then you’ll go on the road with a certified CDL instructor for no less than 75 hours of one-on-one behind the wheel training. After training, you’ll return to Prime’s corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, for final CDL state testing and your CDL license.
Prime Inc has their own CDL training program and it's divided into two phases - PSD and TNT.
The PSD (Prime Student Driver) phase is where you'll get your permit and then go on the road for 10,000 miles with a trainer. When you come back you'll get your CDL license and enter the TNT phase.
The TNT phase is the second phase of training where you'll go on the road with an experienced driver for 30,000 miles of team driving. You'll receive 14¢ per mile ($700 per week guaranteed) during this phase. Once you're finished with TNT training you will be assigned a truck to run solo.
I'm in Springfield now at the same hotel but here for the wil trans section of the training. Best of luck to you I got here last night.
Good luck and safe travels. Take it all in.

Well, in less than 12 hours I'll be on my way to Springfield for Prime orientation on Monday. I've been studying the high road program like crazy and think I'll be ready to walk in and ace those permit tests. It was so nice having that material to use! I've been to Walmart three times trying to make sure I have everything I need for several months away from home, and now I just have to figure out how to get it all in a duffle bag and carry-on bag. LOL I haven't been nervous about going, but now the butterflies are setting in. Wish me luck!
