Got off my trainer's truck a week ago and completed the final evaluation portion of the training yesterday. Me and another guy are on our way to Indiana from Arkansas to get our trucks. He's been assigned a 2016 FL Cascadia and I'll be getting a 15. Looking forward to going home for a few days then getting out there on my own.

You lucky dog. I was blessed with a 13 lol. Been solo a month now and it's slowly getting easier. That 1st solo load is scary and never wrecking. Just remember all you learned from training and always remember to call if you need help with anything. Good luck to you

Thanks everyone. Picked up my truck in IN then headed to TN to deliver my first load. Went home after that and will be here for 4 days. Driving my pickup after being in the Freightliner for nearly 5 weeks feels strange. It's much nicer being solo than with the trainer although i know i have a lot to learn yet.

Congrats. I also have a hard time driving a car after driving my Freightliner 16 for weeks at a time. It really throws me off not having the extra mirrors and the higher vantage point.
