Again, as i said, correct me if i'm wrong...which i was
I guess I need to refrain from answering questions until I get some actual experience
It calculates it but until you understand it by seeing it in action a couple of times do not rely on QC. If you don't understand it and think u are getting back say 8 hours but u only get back five... it could screw you. Try it on runs that give you time to play
I have a friend who no matter what I said insisted that 8 in sleeper alone would add time. It doesnt. It pauses the 14 hr...he was mad cause he paused it with 5 hours and expected to get more than that at the end

Spot on, thats exactly how I learned. That, and a lot of theorycrafting.
Thanks for the info, I am shifting through it☺
1)Does the two hours need to be in one block?
2)Or after 8hrs break, I have 4hrs driving in this case. Can I drive 1hr, sleeper 1hr, drive 1hr. then complete sleeper 1hr.?

In a nutshell - no. The breaks for split-sleeper have to be continuous.
And if you take the 2 hour break FIRST - it doesn't "pause" the 14 hour clock. So if you drive 2, take a 2 hour break - you still only have 10 on your 14 clock. If you drive 2, take 8 - you have 12 left on your 14 - but it only becomes "legal" after the 2nd break. Same with the 11 drive clock - this doesn't get "paused". The drive clock runs for On Duty/Driving, until it gets reset by the completion of a full 10 hour, or the 2nd part of the split (however you opt to do it). Both the 11 & 14 clocks reset upon completion of BOTH BREAKS.
And don't forget to take your 1/2-hour somewhere in there too.
Rick
It must be 8 sleeper and at least TWO consecutive hours of sleeper OR off duty. U can't do 8/1/1
