I'm finding the simulator backing exercises really difficult. I can back a truck up on the pad and put it where I want it, so I understand how to turn to direct it where it should be. However, on the simulator, I just can't get it! I think it's the perspective from the simulator mirrors that is messing me up because when I have it all set up for a simple straight line back, I end up perpendicular to the dock half the time or at a weird angle. Any advice to make this easier?? I know when you upgrade with Prime, you have to pass the simulator exercises.

This is the honest to God truth...they know it's different and they won't fail you.. they will actually guide you. Some people had problems with the depth percept I n.. one guy vomited from the motion. Go figure.

However... once you get more practice on thw road and come back to upgrade it isn't that bad. Don't sweat it. Try taking it really really slow

The depth perception on there when backing is messed up. I had to do them too and wasn't able to get them right. Even straight line backing was an issue. But I was doing great at it on the pad.

I meant to say parallel to the dock...LOL Thanks! I have trouble with the motion thing sometimes too, especially when doing the mountain exercises. The sim that really had me pulling my hair out was one where you have an empty dock with six spaces. You drop your trailer in the unmarked dock and then go around picking up the others in numerical order and drop them where they go. I could not even get the first one placed correctly even after coaching from the instructor. I have managed to complete a couple of the other backing ones with some guidance though.
