Charlie Mac, a big thumbs up man!

I know you'll enjoy being home like that. It still won't be like a regular day job, but it will be nice to be at home for a little while each day. Remember, the great thing about this job is that if you decide you want to do something a little different for a while you can always switch around to a different driving position in the company.

Congrats man. Hope to get in on shuttle running in the future if otr ends up not being my cup of tea. Enjoy it!

OTR:

Over The Road

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Thanks for the well wishes 😀

I don't mind boring. I like flipping on the cruise control, listening to NPR & trading jabs with Super Truckers on the CB. What I won't miss is scrambling to find a last minute parking spot after sunset.

On a positive note, that very thing has honed my parallel parking technique tremedously! Pulling into a rest area with 1 spot left (of course it's not in the lanes but 1 of the 4 curbside spots).

Here I thought I'd never have to bust that maneuver after school again! Boy was I wrong. It's a whole different ballgame when the litle orange cones are now two 73' trucks with drivers asleep inside. 😋
