Congratulations. Get your rest, you've earned it for sure. A note about Jurupa Valley, it is not typical of Swift terminals. It is by far the most crowded and poorly laid out of the 20 or so facilities I've been to. I'm not blaming anyone for it, that region is crowded and land is expensive. Please don't judge all terminals by what you find there.
It's still better than denver. Don't know how I got out of there without hitting anything haha.
Lol Denver is my home terminal. I'm here now.
A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
Good luck Tractor Man!! You got this far, so that test is gonna be a breeze. If you're nervous, take things slower than normal. They won't fail you for that unless you impede traffic.
Well I'm here, room 311. I'm going to go grab a bite to eat.
Congratulations and good luck tomorrow.

Congrats man!!! You got this! I'm sure you will do well! I can't wait to hear all of your stories!
Mr. T
I am happy to report that I never caught my Mentor playing with Mr. Spanky! LOL! That was one of the funniest threads that "Popped Up" on this site. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself).
I hope to see you out there T. I have enjoyed your posts. Im sure I'll have my own stories to post in no time at all.

Lol That's great news!!! I don't think I've had any other worse image burned into my brain ever! It was funny, yet horrifying at the same time! Lol !
Hello Fellow TT'ers. I am scheduled for my Upgrade at the Jarupa Valley Terminal tomorrow morning at 0730. I have a hotel voucher and will be able to get a good night's sleep, Lord knows I need one after 25 days driving team with my Mentor. I am feeling sooooo sleep deprived right now. I,m glad they scheduled me for tomorrow. After sacrificing so much over these last 10 weeks, I'm ready for the payoff. They are supposed to dispatch me towards home (Tucson, AZ). Four days of R&R (sort of). Put my new "HOUSE" together, get on the road and start the REAL SCHOOLIN'. I feel comfortable with my skills, but quite nervous at the same time. I'm sure I'll be begging all of you for advice over the next several months, and I know I will get it here on TT!
There may be advice that I don't want to hear or deal with, but I know y'all will tell me what I NEED to hear and not necessarily what I WANT to hear. That is why I am a member of TT. Although we have never met face to face, (except you Errol!), I value your advice and will do my level best to follow through on it. I will report back tomorrow with details on my Truck and first solo dispatch.

Raul sounds nervous:

Typing in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS is considered like shouting.
Usually the physical and drug test are taken care of before you even get your CDL permit. The upgrade is your promotion to being a full fledged driver.
However, companies can put you through a drug screen whenever they want to.
A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

Were you imbibing in something while in training that you are concerned about? I sure hope not. If you were, then you do not belong anywhere near this Business. That is a real scary question/post!
