I use my computer and read the TruckingTruth forum, like I'm doing right now. I got here right on time for my appt (I meant to be earlier but stuff happened), and they told me they are running 3 hours behind.
SLEEP lol. The loading/unloading process rocks me right to sleep. I usually have another trip already set up by the time I deliver, so I'll also use that time to plan next trip.
Same here. Trip plan or read TT. Sleep if I can but usually cannot.
I do dry van so I rarely sit at a dock. The longest I have was four hours because I was late.
I try to observe the incoming drivers and study how they park, I've learn from different techniques and angles that other experience drivers use, n of course learn what not to do from d ones that struggle, sometimes I offer help,.....out
What do yall do, waiting at the docks?
Everything already mentioned plus look for a taco truck. Otherwise, eat my own food.
Fold up my tarps and put my other equipment up lol
It's summertime, so I've been counting the links in my snow chain cross-links to make sure they are all equal.
Trying to keep up on my Quantum physics project and when I do serious Dock time I pull out my Kindle and read. Reading The Wheel of Time Series now that is like 14-books at about 30 hours a book. So in about 10-years I should finish it. I also have an iPod with music and Audible audio books on it...all mentioned above are one stop shopping at Amazon.
