I will. Maybe I'll see you around sometime. All the people I've talked to there have been awesome. I've been studying the high road program for a while so I feel pretty good about the tests. I would like to thank you Brett for providing such a great site and service for the new guys wanting to get into trucking.
Great update Aaron. Glad all is going well. Hopefully you will get your own truck soon.
Thanks, I hope so also. I'm pretty excited and I'm sure with everything I've been learning I'll do fine. I know it'll be a lot to learn by yourself and just figuring out everything on your own but I'm confident in the skills I've gained that I can do it all safely.

Well for the final week, we did a total of 6240 miles. As being a B student and making .14 cents a mile, I can say this was my best check to date. Pretty cool feeling knowing the hard work you put in that you can make good money. It wasn't like we were always go go go. We had a day off and relaxed in Nevada. But other than that we did good.
We are heading to Wisconsin, a Walmart DC. About 200 miles away, we just gonna shut down tonight and get some rest. Have a pretty big window on this load so why not get some good rest when ya can, right?
Other than that, my buddy dalton finished his B seat training and is doing his solo week. I believe he starts tomorrow. So I'm pretty excited and proud of him for sticking with it and getting to this point. I knew he could do it.
But yeah, things been going great, can't wait to get back to Missoula, hopefully soon. Couple weeks I'll see the wife. So I'm pretty content with everything.
Take care everyone and I'll see ya guys next time. Goodnight.
Operating While Intoxicated
Congrats on getting to your final week! I'm sure you are excited and ready to get your own truck and go off on your own.
I finally got things lined up and have a tentative start date with Jim Palmer in December - nervous about it as I have never been in a truck in my life but excited to get started. Going to go back through this thread and work on what I can before then. Please continue to post once you are in your truck - still following along with you on this end!

Congrats Aaron, hopefully I can be successful like you! I start on the 24th.
Good for you Aaron. Looking forward to reading about your experiences in the General Side of the forum.
Hey Aaron...thank toy so much for your thread...I've not only enjoyed reading it, but have learned enough from it to apply at Palmer! I spoke with my recruiter today and he is trying to get me on 10-24-2016...just under two weeks from now! Looks like I'll be taking that bus ride from hell...from Texas to Montana...in late October!! I'm going to create a thread similar to yours to document all this...even thinking about keeping a video log and posting on YouTube...we'll see how all that goes. Anyway, thanks again, be safe, how to see you on the road sometime and share a cup of Joe.. God speed!!
Hey Robby - I've been working with a recruiter there as well and am hoping to be there November 7 - hope it works out and maybe see you around sometime! Waiting on interview 2 and all the verification checks to clear - getting anxious but just waiting on them at this point before I quit my job and head that way! Have not heard from Aaron now for a couple of weeks so I am sure he is busy and most likely running on his own and taking some home time about now. Good luck on getting out there on the 24th - they must have finished all your interview process by now I assume.

Well this week has been pretty good, we took a day off in Nevada on our way to Oakland ca... Can I say California sucks? No truck stops or rest areas. At least in Oakland. On the 99 there was plenty but that was out of the way. But anyways the trip went well.
Recently they had us in route to go back to Montana, we went back to MO, then from MO to SD, and from there we were gonna be going back to MT so I can pick up my license. But a prime driver is sick as can be and his load is late, delivery was at 5 am this morning and it's going to Ohio... So now we are in route to ohio, it'll put us over the 6,000 miles for the week again. So it's been going pretty dang good.
Hometime coming up, see the wife then in November I'll get to go see my grandma and family out west. So I'm enjoying everything, things been going awesome. Just been seeing the road and the beautiful scenery. Can't complain about that. Anyways hope everyone had a good weekend, and a great rest of your week. Stay safe.
