Team Driving With A Friend. Anyone Know Which Company Has The "Train A Buddy" Program.

I remember seeing an add fromone company that would hire driver teams where 1 driver was experienced andone was a trainee. They called it the "train a buddy" program. It was for husband/wife teams or friends or whatever where 1 driver had experience but the other didn't. Anyone remember what company was doing this? The last time I saw the add was about 3-4 months ago. Any help would be appreciated by us both.

Qualifications are:

Trainer Qualifications
  • One year of truck driving experience
  • 30 days experience as a Schneider driver
  • Safe driving record
  • Rare logging problems
Trainee Qualifications
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) issued by your state of residence
  • Graduated from truck driving school within the last three months
  • Clean driving record
  • Solid work history

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
