After spending the last two months in my truck, I never realized how stressful it can get. Spent last night and spending this night at the Little America Hotel in Little America, WY. Feels good to get out of the truck and not think about trucking for a little bit. It can be overwhelming when all I think about is trucking, trip planning, etc. Word of advice to other rookies, get out of the truck once in a while!

Devan, I drove right past you yesterday afternoon on my way to SLC! I'm doing a 34 at the SLC Terminal. Back on the road with a fresh 70 hour clock in the morning! Enjoy the time out of the Truck!smile.gif

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Now that I'm finally making regularly high mileage. I decided I'm going to rent a room once a week. It was great to sit in a tub and lay in a quiet room.

Great advice

Definitely! It is almost like we can get cabin fever in our truck haha! Have to refresh and not think about trucking for a while.

See, just simply getting out of the truck physically and mentally for a little while will do wonders!

Sometimes we all just need a break. When you live at work it gets a bit overwhelming.

I did that once, it sounded like elephants bowling upstairs. Did no good to complain to the front desk. I ended up going out to the truck and getting some sleep.

I don't have this problem. Heck I think I sleep better in the truck than I do at home. I need to learn to plan better so I can actually take time to stop to see stuff tho.
