Where is home Devan? I'll bet your friends are a bit jealous of your paychecks too! I'm glad you are getting the ROCKSTAR treatment! You deserve it! I wasn't anywhere near being able to do this job in my 20's. I really want to meet you someday. Im impressed with your maturity at such a young age. You have the world by the ba!!$ right now. Keep up the good work

Springer, New Mexico. It's near colorado and the infamous raton pass. Really nothing over there, that is why I took on driving. I appreciate that, although I still dealing with things that are part of being young haha. I am pretty sure we will cross paths someday. I have met Errol so far.

Man I was just thinking this. I'm getting so burnt out right now I'm just hanging on for dear life. My marriage and health (I have insulin-dependent diabetes) are really suffering right now, and I think alot of it is that I haven't taken the time to just get out of the truck very much at all lately. This weekend I'm still sleeping in the truck, but I have been spending most of my awake time in the Dallas terminal fooling around with the other drivers here. Man we've been having such a blast I completely forgot about trucking for a little bit. I met a couple older guys here too who enjoyed telling a young pup like me their whole life story and showing me pictures of their family and such. I really learned alot from those guys. A couple days isn't really enough for me to recuperate but it's been a good start. And I've had such a blast with the other drivers at this terminal I think I might have to make it a regular stop.

Make sure you fix both those things, trucking will always be here. Besides all that it does a person good to enjoy life a little. We all need to find a good work life balance. I tend to get more stressed and less miles when I push for money. Yet when I am relaxed I get hit with better loads. Kind of funny how it works haha.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

OWI:

Operating While Intoxicated
