When I first started to learn how to drive truck I remember dreaming that I was riding shotgun on a job at night and then something happened and my guy had to leave (don't remember what the "emergency" was) and I was like...what about the truck??? He calmly replies "this is the best time to learn, don't worry you'll be fine" and leaves. I was left there to drive the truck without any instruction and expected to finish the job. What ensued I imagine was all of my fears in one dream of things that could happen except for actually crashing. Bunch of near misses and oh crap moments like not being able to find a gear before going down a grade. Stuff like that lol

This past week I've been dreaming about driving 4 nights. Not really nightmares but I imagine it's because all day and all night I'm thinking about practicing and testing :(

Ugh I had a nightmare the other night that I drove straight off the road into a creek. And just kept going through the water...

Woke me out of a dead sleep. Half an hour before the alarms of course.

I usually remember parts of my dreams. I have night terrors occasionally and I always remember those vividly and they tend to stick with me for a couple days.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

I had a nightmare where i was at the terminal for the night and i brought my truck to the shop because a pipe was dripping coolant, and they kept it in the shop half the night and i had nowhere to sleep.

Oh wait, that wasn't a dream, that's what's happening right now.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
