As long as you have a legal prescription for it then it will not be considered a failed drug test. However, if it is a prescription that is not allowed in trucking, like a narcotic for instance, you may not be allowed to drive if it is deemed that some may still be in your system. I honestly don't know the criteria they use to determine if you can drive right now or how long you would have to wait. You would have to speak with a doctor who gives DOT physicals about that.
