Exactly Tractor Man.
It is good to dream, I actually am doing this as a means to an end. I enjoy it thoroughly and it may end up becoming my life, but I have some other things I want to do as well. After a while you might realize that the truck is all you may need. Really all i need is some good food and internet and I am content.

I don't know if this is going to copy and paste right but I agree and dreams are good. I may be only trying to get funding for Truckers school and that's my goal right now but somewhere's towards the end I see an old farm near mountains, a creek with a field too. Old structures and nothing to listen to but the sounds of nature maybe somewhere's along the appalachians ..............bought & paid for?.........well I can dream. And I'll take the sound advice and study study study before school even starts. I feel real hopeful about my future. This is a real positive website.
It didn't come out right, maybe I should click on this link right above me - Lol
My apt was $1200 per month plus utilities. I got rid of it. Why bother to be home 4 days every 4 to 7 weeks?
I need to get rid of my apartment and my wife

OTR driving normally means you'll be hauling freight to various customers throughout your company's hauling region. It often entails being gone from home for two to three weeks at a time.

Can't help you with that one! Ex wives can end up being VERY expensive You'll save lots more money if you just give up the apartment.
One of the main things that's kept me from getting out there.
TOO MUCH STUFF. And bringing myself to part with it (well, most of it) and store what I can't part with (which is still a lot of stuff).
Going OTR would require me to go 100% nomad. Single, no kids - makes zero sense to carry an un-necessary nut.

I listen to total money makeover religiously. Currently working on my debt snowball. Took out my credit card, now I just have student loans and credit card used to pay for school.
