Most companies will let you choose a smoking or non-smoking trainer. Look up Pam here Trucking Company Reviews
When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
And congratulations!
WOO HOO! Congrats. Smoker/ Non smoker can be accommodated, but it may take longer to find a non smoker. Short of that you get what you get, so to speak. It is a relatively short period of time. As long as the person is not a sociopathic looney tunes, learn what you can, ask questions...lots of them and focus on the end game. If things are unbearable, you can request a new trainer, but be careful!!! The second one could be worse. I would hate to be the guy that requested a THIRD!
Warlock, have a look at these links in our Truck Driver's Career Guide:
Well, I went to the C1 Trucking school on June 20th, and graduated July 14th, passing my CDL Class A skills exam, and I now officially hold a class A CDL License! I start orientation on the 25th. I will be working for PAM.
Is there anything I should be expecting during orientation and during training? Do I get to select if I want a non smoking trainer or if I get matched up with someone with similar interests in life? Just a few questions I've had for those pros out there for a newbie like myself.
I appreciate any recommendations or advice!
Thanks
